The 2026 Green Day Street Fair
this Saturday in Downtown Miami Shores!

What happens when you combine a sunny Saturday afternoon, a street fair bursting with live music and great food, and three booths overflowing with seeds, fun, art, and nature love? You get Bound by Beauty and GROW Miami at the 2026 Green Day Street Fair — and we could not be more excited to see you there.

Green Day is this Saturday, April 18, from 3:30 to 8:30 PM in downtown Miami Shores. Come find us right in front of Pura Vida, on 98th Street and NE 2nd Avenue. We’ll have three booths — one for Bound by Beauty, one for GROW Miami, and one where your kids (or you!) can get your face painted with butterflies and flowers. We will also have our wonderful butterfly wings because why not channel beautiful butterfly energy?

Seeds, Plants, and Posters

If you’ve never seen Kim Heise’s watercolor posters of wild native plants and the butterflies that depend on them, prepare to have your breath taken away. We’ll have these beautiful posters on display, along with some of the actual wild native plants themselves — so you can meet the real thing alongside the art and buy a Field Guide to these wild plants so you can start finding them everywhere!

And then there are the seeds. We’ll have lots and lots of different native pollinator seeds in beautiful packets that you can take home to sprout in your own garden — or give as gifts to friends and neighbors. Imagine handing someone a little packet of Scarlet sage seeds and saying, “This will bring butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden.” Is there a better gift than that?

The GROW Miami Booth
Meet Stephanie McMillan’s Art!

Right next door at the GROW Miami booth, we are absolutely thrilled to introduce a wonderful artist’s work to Miami Shores: Stephanie McMillan, a cartoonist from Broward County whose whimsical, joyful drawings connect people with the natural world in the most delightful and important way.

Stephanie’s art is something you have to see to believe — playful, warm, bursting with life. We’ll have her coloring pages laid out for kids (and let’s be honest, kids of all ages) to color with crayons that we’ll supply. And we’ll have her gorgeous coloring books for sale — South Florida Plants & Wildlife and We Belong Together — which you will definitely want to take home.

“We feel gratitude for the Sun, who gives life to all on Earth.” — One of Stephanie McMillan’s beautiful coloring pages.

The GROW Miami booth will also feature our popular seed bar — a whole spread of beautiful native pollinator seeds. Come by and fill yourself up with seeds and enjoy this connection to nature while your son or daughter gets their face painted at our face painting booth right next door or colors in one of Stephanie’s whimsical coloring pages.

Cecilia Ise’s Pollinator Patch Project

We’ll also have Cecilia Ise’s wonderful Wheel of Wildlife to engage kids and adults, as well as her Pollinator Patch signs for sale.  Ceci, a graduate of iPrep Academy and member of Girl Scout Troop 1305, received her prestigious Gold Award for this incredible project. The Pollinator Patch signs are a wonderful way to declare to the world that the wild patch growing in your yard is deliberate — that you’re not neglecting your garden, you’re nurturing nature and promoting biodiversity.

Animals and butterflies will abound with Pelican Harbor Seabird Station and the Miami Blue chapter of the North American Butterfly Association.  Flora of Miami will have an assortment of beautiful native wildflowers and shrubs to attract pollinators and birds to your garden.  And Renuable Composting will be there to open people’s eyes to the importance of composting our food and yard waste (yay, let’s stop sending plastic bags full of important leaves to the landfill to generate methane!), and much more!

Come Say Hello

So join us this Saturday — April 18, from 3:30 to 8:30 PM, downtown Miami Shores. Enjoy the amazing sounds of Cortadito and Orquesta de Reciclados de Cateura, grab some delicious food, explore the fair — and come find us in front of Pura Vida on 98th Street and NE 2nd Avenue.

We look forward to seeing you there. And if I haven’t met you yet — please come and introduce yourself. That’s what this is all about: connecting with nature and connecting with neighbors.

See you Saturday!

— Mary
